Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has revealed the reason why
Gareth Bale failed to make his home debut for Real Madrid on Sunday.
Los Blancos demolished
Geatfe 4-1 in a Madrid derby on Saturday night thanks to goals from Pepe, Isco
and Cristiano Ronaldo but did so without the Wales international, who pulled up
in the warm-up.
“Gareth Bale had a small problem when he was warming up,” he
told reporters.
“It's not an injury.
He just didn't feel comfortable.
"I don't know if
Bale can play on Wednesday because it's difficult for a player to be ready in
three days.
"I think Gareth
Bale will be ready for Saturday's match against Atleti.
"We are working
to improve Bale's fitness because he didn't have a good preseason."
The Italian tactician
then commented on the performances of Isco and Karim Benzema.
“I think Benzema did a
good job tonight. He had two good chances but he didn't have any luck."
“Isco arrived here
with a lot of personality.
“Sometimes it’s
difficult for youngsters to play here, but he has shown he is a unique talent.”
