Ex Chelsea interim manager, Rafa Benitez believes Napoli’s strength is
their unity, but “it’s still early to judge” after they went top of the table.
Inter and Juventus held each other up this evening, so
the Partenopei are
the only team with a 100 per cent record after three rounds, awaitingFiorentina and Roma’s results.
“I am very satisfied, as we won and also
rotated the squad to preserve energy,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia after a 2-0 victory over Atalanta.
“The key to this team is the cohesion of the
group. The fans must always stay this close to us, as their support is
fundamental.
“We’re top of the table, but we should stay
calm, as it’s still early to judge.”
Napoli struggled to break Atalanta down
until Marek Hamsik and Jose MariaCallejon came
off the bench.
“I rotated the squad because some players
were tired after international duty,” continued Benitez.
“Callejon is a very important player for us,
because his movements are different to the others we have in the squad. In a
game like this with limited spaces, he becomes decisive.”
