Guardiola: The rhythm was missing

It was apparent that the recent international break had an effect on the German champions, with lots of players all having represented their respective countries in two World Cup qualifiers since last week Friday.
However, the last season treble winners still managed to remain in touch with Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund, who are two points clear of their title rivals at the top of the standings. Speaking after the match, the Gaffer said

"We were not tired, but after an eight- or nine-day break, the rhythm was missing something," Guardiola told SID.
He continued: "For us, a game after an international break is always difficult."
The Munich team has a host of international talent from several different parts of the world, and games after the international break can be tricky for the German giants.
But Die Roten's second-half rally was good enough to convince the ex Barcelona tactician maintained  that his side is ready for their first round of Champions League duty scheduled for Tuesday.
The 42-year-old explained: "In the second half we played better after the goal.
"Now we are ready for the Champions League on Tuesday."
