World record signinig Gareth Bale made a goal scoring debut for
Real Madrid on Saturday, and the attacker has admitted it was a proud moment.
The Wales international scored an equalising goal in Los Blancos’ 2-2 draw with
Villarreal at El Madrigal. But the 24-year-old has conceded that he was
disappointed not to win in his first game for Carlo Ancelotti’s men.
“Proud to score on my debut and pleased to get 60 minutes
tonight,” Bale tweeted.
“Just disappointed not to get the result. Looking forward to Tuesday
now.”
Real Madrid play Galatasaray in their first Champions League
match of the season next week.
